Today I was plucking around a lot on my guitar. I've been playing a lot of scales, figuring out how the guitar works. What I love to do is put on some music and try to play along with it by improvising. It's fun and really useful for figuring out the scales that I'm playing in. It's also really nice to help me get used to finding my way around my instrument. I used to do this a lot too with the Piano. Also, now that I'm thinking about it, I do this a lot with my voice as well. Heh. I guess this is how I should be going about learning my instruments from now on. By playing with them, not taking shit so seriously hehe.

I played with a 2300 dollar classical guitar this afternoon at the music store. It kinda sucked. The tactility felt off somehow... Sliding around on the strings felt nice (at least on the lower strings), but the tone was all off. My guitar sounds so much tastier. She's a lot richer in flavour. Why are they asking 2300 dollars for that guitar? Mine was a fraction of the price...

I also played on a Yamaha digital piano today. It was really nice. I want one. It was 1400 dollars though.... At least it actually felt good to play and tasted like candy. Delicious. I played one of my darker songs. I'll release it eventually. It's a piano only piece. The only reason I haven't released it yet is because, well... I want to record it on a nice piano. It deserves the best.
