So this is it. With the bombshell news that dropped on the 13th, this will be the fifth and final blog post here.
It definitely surprised me. I was figuring it would go on for at least a little bit longer, especially since I had stuff planned for March like the one video I had to delay. Alas, it was not to be.
But hey, give this place some credit.
It lasted longer than the attempted revival of CDRomance. Lmao.
I joined this place as one of its first members (#7, to be exact). I knew of ciro brewing the place up on Discord, and once it launched on the server that both of us were in, I was quick to pounce and continue my business. At first, I stayed relatively quiet and tried to make a couple suggestions to ciro (having actually had some Admin/Mod experience, and also see what his own thoughts on some things were), and then later took on my own form once I had done what I could do. Everything else was the usual fare.
I do realize that I had been pretty one-dimensional here, but I had my reasons for it. Instead of dealing with house rules, I maintain a personal code when it comes to internet discourse, which is why I never get into trouble anywhere. The main thing is simply not stepping into a place that I know good and well was gonna be a total minefield (not saying there were any here, but it's one part of the code for everywhere). If the rules go against that code, then I don't belong there. Simple as that.
A part of me has tried to spread myself out over the past year and change, especially since prior to RGT, I was pretty locked tight in a few select areas and didn't know of anywhere else to go. CDRomance wasn't that kind of place. I actually don't remember my first encounter with the site, because in the grand scope, it was just another site in a whole slew of them that I knew were around. Repo usage is rare. If I wanted to dig out a ROM to do some random shit (be it trying a game out or using it to do recordings), I went to like five or six other places. The only notable download from CDRomance was the first Kingdom Hearts Final Mix's English translation (which was because that was literally the only place I could find it).
And now it's looking like I might be bailing from that site soon (at least as a regular user). I don't plan to delete the account like a bunch of others had, as I don't believe in making alts unless there's a legitimately good reason for it (Discord is one of the few examples; TL;DR a nasty incident occurred where my using the first account became completely untenable, and the platform is my only source of contact for many of my friends). However, I'm turning into a ghost over there, especially with the lack of interaction lately (reactions excluded). Seems that trend never left me.
Then again, given all the shit I've been put through in the past, I was always a tough nut to open. I'm not unapproachable, though...
That being said, the best way to keep in touch with me now is through Discord. If things get bad with them going the UK route (you know, the ID/face scan shit that can get fucked with a tank shell, and then fired out of it), then I'll see where my friends and I end up next.

Well, I guess that's it. No reason to discuss upcoming stuff when the nuke is about to go off on this place. I'll stick around until then.
Thanks for keeping me company, here. Until we meet again.
