Last night I was having horrible stomach pains again. I decided to put on some music and sing along quietly while I was suffering in bed.
Eventually I decided to get up outta bed cause it wasn't doin' me no favours, and I picked up my guitar to practice. I decided to learn how to play Polly by Nirvana and I had so much fun. Learning the chords was easy and I picked up the rhythm pretty quick too.
I even decided to start singing along while I played, which is pretty hard. I'm still struggling to keep up and separate my voice from my strumming. I'm getting better though. I spent all day listening to the studio recording. I was listening for the starts and pauses between the phrases where Kurt sings. This has been a really great lesson.
I also decided to buy myself a nice acoustic guitar today on my way home from doing some errands. I got a used classical guitar from Spain that uses nylon strings. I didn't realize how fucking weird the strings feel to press down on compared to steel strings. It kinda hurts more.
I also have a final tomorrow which I think I'm pretty ready for. It's time to keep practicing.
