In another round of me stealing news from gbatemp, recently a new fangame of Zelda I came out that stands in the middleground between being a remake and reimagination.

This is a kind of visual overhaul I always wanted to see: increase in sprite resolution in order to be more expressive, while at the same time completely respecting the original sprite artstyle.

The music on the other hand goes for a nice orchestral direction to extract that adventurous feeling out of you.

On the reimagination side of things, it's also not afraid of being a fan game too. If you're fond of how Link's Awakening bent the rules a little, you'll find a bit of there too. There's some new content, some rearranged stuff, new interactions and silly dialogue too.

I know there's a certain order to doing things in Zelda I, but the freedom to wander around from the get go combined with the condensed exploration and lack of both hand holding and emphasis on plot certainly gives that magical exploration feel.

On my first try to beat the original Zelda 1 from NES, I don't remember if I even got to the third dungeon, but now I'll certainly give another go. :moxiehappy:

Tips:
- Press F4 to go in fullscreen. Press again to go to pixel-perfect full screen.
- Pressing Esc will instantly put you in a Game Over screen, pressing again will close the game. You can change the controls but not that unfortunately.
