New AFI get (finally)

A potential guitarist messaged me today. I'm going to audition them on Wednesday it looks like.

I found a bassist. Holy fuck. It's happening? IT'S HAPPENING!! LET'S FUCKING GOOOOOOOOOOOO

Today was such a very productive day.

I printed out all my band recruitment flyers and stuck a bunch up around my University.

I also stopped by the student radio station and they offered to shout out my recruitment live on air!! >:D (ya girls already getting mentioned on the radio muwahahaha!!!! xD)

Tomorrow I'm gonna be stickin em up around downtown before the weekend comes in B^}

Update!: I've got my band recruitment fliers all nice and made in a PDF. Tomorrow I'm going to go and get them printed up to post around town! I even got permission from the owner of the local record store to hand em up in the shop too

Also also: Holy FUCK! This Saosin album, "Along the Shadow" is fucking BALLER. Anthony Green came back for the vocals and I couldn't be happier. I wasn't even aware that he came back for this album. I'm chumming buckets

I got the only two Saosin CDs in the entire record store. They were probably there for a long while cuz they were way hidden out of sight. Unfortunately no "Translating the Name" EP, but maybe I can find it at the Record Fair next month!

SO; Tonight I realized that my natural speaking and resting voice is a lot higher than I thought it was! Which is GREAT news for me, because now I can do THIS easily! :D

JUST LET ME SING

I went into some crazy trance during my rudiments of music class today and ended up concocting the skeleton to a new song. It's awesome.

So today is Truth and Reconciliation Day in Canada. From what I was told, today is a holiday used to bring awareness to the horrors that the Government of Canada put indigenous kids through for years and years and years.

They forced indigenous kids into boarding schools and made them stop using their own languages in an attempt to assimilate them into the white mans culture. They'd punish these kids for using their own languages, sometimes to death. In 2011 (I think that's what my friend told me), they started to find HUGE unmarked mass graves of hundreds of indigenous kids who had been murdered for not assimilating.

This is what this holiday is meant to bring awareness to. This world is fucked.

My singing is really taking a huge step up. I'm very excited for the future. Self expression is about to be at an all time high.

That movie was fucking crazy.

I'm at the theatre for HIM. They have very small showing rooms with large plush reclining chairs.

This is going to be epic.

I can literally feel my brain EXPANDING from all this KNAWLEDGE that I've been learning recently.

I woke up this morning and drum programming randomly started to click into place. Then my mom called me and randomly more singing concepts clicked into place. And THEN I was doing my music homework and my perfect pitch randomly got a buff.

Learning is actually kinda cool when you can see the progress happening

I didn't go to the Ak-747s concert. I stayed home and worked on my own songs instead

Tomorrow (today) I am going to an Ak-747s concert. Skipping Kendo because of my injury (also the concert).

Tonight I have learned the beauty of Limiters. Also, The Police (Band) has opened my eyes to basic chord progressions.

Update: Today I got the best compliment on my voice ever from my Vocal Coach. He called me a "powerhouse vocalist" unprompted.

I've been waiting for the day that someone with vocal chops would finally call me a powerhouse vocalist since Middle School. And today was finally that day. I'm so happy right now. I am a very happy Chloe. Very happy.

My Japanese classmates have noticed that I've been sad and stressed, overwhelmed, lately. They've all started to reach out and ask me to do stuff with them. They're all such sweethearts.

One of them made me an Origami Dragon today, which I've named Aoi Lemon (even though she's not even blue)!!!

I ripped a bit of the skin off the bottom of my left big toe. Oh well. It happens in Kendo :>
