Now that I'm in Fortree City, I gotta ask... What's up with the in-game trades in this Gen?

Like, in Gens 1 & 2, I can recall plenty of useful in-game trade NPCs; Specifically, the ones that had a Pokemon that was useful against a certain Gym.

But in this game (as well as Emerald if memory serves from watching Chuggaa's LP), literally ALL OF THEM suck. Why on earth would I take a Skitty over a Pikachu? Even when fully evolved, Delcatty is just really weak and outclassed and many other Normal Types (Hell, you can get Jigglypuff by Surfing to a remote area on Route... I forgot the exact number lol).

Damn, only two encounters this time?

(I'm making HEAVY use of GBA.EMU'S "8x Speed Function". Hard to believe that within, like, an hour or two I'm ALREADY at Mauville lol.)

(In my haste to speed up and hit "B" during battle menus to advance the text, I accidentally left "Scratch" on Combusken as it was learning "Double Kick". Luckily, the game gives you 3 Heart Scales at this point and Fallarbor Town (where the Move Reminder is located in) isn't too terribly far from Mauville.)

(UPDATE #2: Reclaimed Liz Bloodflame (Skarmory) and re-taught "Double Kick" to Combusken. I REALLY should pay close attention to battle text when speeding everything up lol.)

One of the coolest video game commercials I've ever seen (Too bad the game itself is nowhere near as good).

Just a silly idea I had.

Guys... I just lost my "Moémon Ruby" save data by complete accident. I renamed the file as I didn't notice that I had accidentally misspelled "Moémon" (no "é" just a regular "e") while I was applying the patch.

Several days of progress... All that time I spent last night grinding for the Elite Four... Gone in an instant.

Excuse me while I weep in frustration.


[Sighs] Guess I'm spending the next couple days rebuilding my team.

OK, guys... I'm at the Elite Four. I spent way too much time and patience grinding to Lv. 60 lol.

(Believe it or not, this thing took me three tries to catch lol. First time, my Ralts accidentally confused it and it KO'ed itself. In my second attempt, my Ralts just one shot it with a crit. The third attempt went swimmingly tho.)

I just binged the first three episodes of "This Monster Wants to Eat Me". So far, it's pretty good; a tearjerker even. Definitely one of the better yuri anime that I've seen. I really like Hinako and Shiori's relationship.


And Miko is a fun comic relief character.
