I legit was just gonna share a card they released of Ultros, the octopus from Final Fantasy, and go "hey, dis you?" or something but I felt bad because it had the word "obnoxious" in it and I didn't want to call you obnoxious, even as a joke... So I just made a few quick, and crudely done, edits instead
@Anim8rDude@jiyuuboyetsvi I haven't forgotten about the 'Great Canadian
Snow Off'. I've been bidding my time, watching the weather forecasts weeks in advance. Watching, waiting, yearning for that snowfall...
Anyway, there just may be snow here next week. Then I'll win, and get the prize of nothing at all.
So I've been going on an old classic monster movie spree this past week. I've watched all seven of the Frankenstein movies, from the original 1931 movie and it's sequels (Son of Frankenstein is the best one by the way, fight me) to the not so good 40's monster crossover stuff like House of Frankenstein and particularly House of Dracula; god, that was just awful. Anyway, do you know what the best one I've watched so far was? 1931's Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, goddamn was it exceptional. The Hyde transformation scenes are actually mindblowing considering it was '31, and it was of course pre-MPAA code so they got away with some real scandalous (for 1931) stuff, like the fact that you actually see the faintest hint of cleavage on a female, and it may be the first movie I know of at least to suggest at a sexual assault scene. Hyde's make-up alone is fantastic, it still looks convincing. 10/10, would recommend.
I'm now entirely rebranding myself as an enlightened classic movie reviewer, sorry guys it's all over now.
Name a better pizza, I dare you. Sausage, pineapple, green olives, stuffed cheesy crust seasoned with oregano, and marinara sauce. It will likely kill me, but it will be a good death.
Shamelessly copied from RGT as per my usual shenanigans.
I've been really feelin' a hankering for Resident Evil lately, maybe because it's been getting closer to Halloween, and that got me thinking of what I'd say my favourite games in the series are. It's a series I've loved for quite awhile, blah blah I'm a huge fan, blah blah unimportant who cares here's the tier list. Some of it is probably pretty normal picks, but I think there's a few in here that can maybe turn some heads. The specific template I used here also has some strange things with it, like there not being Gun Survivor 2 (which would be the only F-tier if it was in), and not having a separate entry for the 2015 HD Remaster of REMake, which would be in S+ if it was in.
Favourite octopus of the day: the goofy little guy from The Magic Voyage of Sinbad, a 1962 film that was entirely reskinned by Roger Corman into being a Sinbad movie from a '53 Russian film called Sadko. Oh, that Roger Corman. Just look at this little dude, dancing away in the background of a really silly scene.
Not seen directly below the crop: the MST3K bots watching the movie.
Feelin' cute tonight, here's the long awaited face reveal. Don't worry about why it's NSFW tagged, I think maybe something extra got caught in the photo...
What else did you expect? Why'd you click this faster when it was NSFW tagged? Are you a pervert?
(Shamelessly double posted from the RGT as I'm feelin' shameless today.)
Been having a good guitar jam session for the last couple of hours, it's been way too long since I've had one. It's been even longer since I also shittily recorded myself on my phone resting on my cab, so here you go.
First jam is one of my favourite Slayer songs, Seasons in the Abyss. The two main riffs in this song are profoundly heavy, Jeff Hanneman at his finest (RIP). View attachment Seasons.mp3
Then the second one is Symbolic by Death, easily in my top 3 favourite bands of all time; the impact Death had on teen Octopus was huge. These riffs are legendary, and deceptively hard for how relatively simple they appear. The second riff here is brutally fast and has such a strange rhythm to it, as you'll notice when I fuck it up like 3 times. View attachment Symbolic.mp3
The first draft of the first Halloween game article has been written, now I just need to actually finish the rest of the game for the screenshots. This one is also going to need some major cutting and editing which is to be expected; it already at about 25k characters and I haven't even put in 80% of the images yet, and those add up quickly for characters. But first draft and honestly, I think it's some of my finest work yet. It will probably be the first one I post come October, not sure a schedule yet as I'm still not sure if I'm doing three or four Halloween games.
