Great review! And it's nice to see you so passionate about it

I'm still just at the beginning of Sacred Stones but I managed to understand basically everything and the appeal of the hack.

there is also a really a really nice written sub plot involving the most underdeveloped characters in all Fire Emblem: The bandits, making them feel like human beings compared to the traditional Fire Emblem treatment of the archetype just being push over to make the early chapters have weaker enemies to fight.

This may be my favorite part of what you told me. I sure do have my fair share of appreciation for cartoon villains, but humanizing and giving personality to the common bandits is a huge deal for me if I really want to seriously immerse myself in the story, instead of going for the "I'm bad because uh... I'm ugly! And bad!"
