I don't stream music anymore as my primary form of listening. I now personally use a mixture of mediums.

On PC I use the application Foobar2000. It's a freeware application that you can use to listen to your own personal audio files (downloaded or ripped from CD/Vinyl/Cassette). It's also highly customizable, though it can be a bit of a pain to set up.

For on the go music listening, I use an old LG V30 that I bought the other month for 50 bucks used. It has a headphone jack, expandable memory via Micro SD, and a really fucking great internal Quad DAC for HiFi listening. The headphone jack is also overpowered as hell. I can listen to music out of it with my 300ohm Sennheiser headphones no problem.

On my LG V30, I use the app USB Audio Player PRO. It's a small one time purchase and lets me listen to all my music and their proper bit and sample rates without upscaling or normalization. Very nice for an audio freak like me.

What do you all use to listen to music? Also what albums/artists have y'all stumbled upon lately?

Feel free to chat about anything music related here.

Im not a big audiophile nut, but i listen to my music on a variety of music devices.

Mainly i listen on Dopamine3 music player on my main PC. Windows Media player and the its upgraded brother Groove Music died with Win10 but Dopamine3 has been my de-facto listening app. Can listen to .flac without trouble which is nice.

For audio systems i used a Apple Mac speaker system called Harmon Kardon Soundsticks II on my main PC.
Sounds beautiful and uses touch feature buttons which is impressive since this came out in the 1990s. Translucent and fashionable!

For my Win XP/7 Machine I use the meme itself the Roland MA-12C's
Very impressive and very expensive now considering its a meme too have these on any old ass PC setup. I like the blockiness compared to my JBL Pro Speakers from 1990s.

God those Roland speakers look so sick. I really want them now. FUCK.

I just use youtube, and it's usually to listen to videogame music. I should really starting saving some of the remixes though, because some of them vanish from the internet and never return.

On phone I use NewPipe. Unless when it's broken, then I use youtube there too.

I've been thinking of getting one of those mp3 devices. It's good to have a option that doesn't depend on internet services or smartphones.

I'm a filthy casul when it comes to audio stuff, I use Hiby R4 and it's built in Hiby Player for music, I rip 90% of the songs from the original CDs and bought the rest that only available digitally.

The back plate glows too depends on the music status, green is standby, red means pause/stop, yellow or blue means playing depending on whether the screen and/or button is locked or not. It's rad.

I use this for the earbuds, no I don't understand the specs, I only bought it for simp purpose.

At home I use this LG something something speaker and Sony something player if I want to listen directly from the disk.

I've seen that DAP before, I heard its really great. Though I you're losing out on the audio quality that it can pump out by using wireless earbuds. Those speakers look pretty cool B^)

LG? I recommend Yamaha or Sony for audio systems. Yamaha is expensive asf but they are top dogs since the 80s for a reason. but thats from experience.

LG is surprising in terms of audio equipment. At least with their old phones. Their phones were the best for audio devices.

They don't make phones anymore 🙃

I'm as basic audio listener as it comes, and I exclusively use YouTube through my shitty phone and laptop speakers. If I focus really hard, sometimes I can actually hear the bass layer. I do have some vinyl's actually that I sometimes listen to, but not with any fancy speaker tech or anything like that.

I've been listening to a bunch of stuff lately, but one that's a new discovery is Monolord, who have just the heaviest and sickest doom/stoner guitar tone and riffs I've heard in a long time. I think it's an Orange guitar amp, probably a Rockerverb or a Crush120, pushed with the legendary Boss Hyper-Fuzz 2.
