Yakuza 0-K2 Getting Delisted on PS4/Xbone in Favor of More Expensive Remasters on PS5/Series

It seems like the Yakuza series is about to suffer a major hit, as the very trilogy that set it on the map is now being delisted across multiple systems, this would naturally include newer gen consoles, meaning you won’t be able to purchase them come December 8th.

There’s been some hearsay that Steam will suffer this as well but that is yet to be confirmed. If it is being removed there, then you will not be able to launch mods on the newer versions.

Sega has offered a rather complicated upgrade path, but it would be wise of you to consider before upgrading, as your current default versions of Yakuza 0-K2 will not stop working, meaning you can simply keep playing those instead.

Physical copies of the old versions may become more expensive, and the status of the GOG versions remain unknown, but if you miss out on your chance to buy the original versions before it’s too late, then you will be stuck with the more expensive re-releases permanently.

A price cut is also unlikely, as the reason Yakuza 0-K2 were so cheap was due that price carrying over from when Sega partnered with Sony on their “PlayStation Hits” program that gave permanent price cuts to various PS4 classics, such as the legendary Uncharted 4 (which coincidentally, also circumvented same price cut by going Yakuza 0’s current path, showing that history likes to repeat itself).

This is all we have today. There will hopefully be more updates in the future.
