OK, it's actually good that this thread has come up, because there was a little issue I was having earlier that I wanted to discuss.

The other day, I put on an episode of Azumanga Daioh, and something really weird was in it. The episode's opening played as usual, but then it just cut to all the teachers having intense, passionate, hentai-level sex with the Looney Tunes characters. And I mean really, really going at it, just the most sickening, revolting intercourse you could ever conceive of in your little head. Daffy had Ms. Yukari bent over her teacher's desk, his feathered hands tight around her neck, thrusting away like a hydraulic oil rig, and hollering out "Oh my god, I'm gonna blatht my nutthack out right in your ring-tight Japanethe thervix! WOO-HOO! WOO-HOO! WOO-HOOOOOOO!!!"

What was even weirder was when the scene cut to Foghorn Leghorn, who was getting hardcore paizuried by Ms. Minamoto Kurosawa, and was saying in his iconic Southern drawl "Now I say, I say here, Nyamo-chan, you better have a taste for country-style cream gravy, because that's what you gettin' for your supper! Foghorn's daddy never used one o' them city-rubbers, and I ain't fixin' to start now!" It was so strange because this scene was drawn in GRAPHIC detail – they must have used some form of AI to capture the sweat on Foghorn's chicken brow – and soon enough he began squawking "Oh my god, this ultimate sensei-level suck-fest is makin' me wanna shout COCK-A-DOODLE-YEEEE-HAAAAAAAAAAAAW!!!!"

And finally, the absolute oddest thing was with Bugs Bunny, who for some reason was paired with Professor Kimura, and let me tell you that the animators seemed to be having an awful lot of fun with their homosexual interspecies play-time. Bugs was saying, in-between nibbles of Kimura's "carrot", "Nyeeeeeh, what's up, doc? Aside from your rock-hard three-inch erection, of course! I knew I shoulda taken that left toin at Albuquerque, because if I didn't, I'd be teeth deep in your rabbit-hole right about now!" I don't need to tell you how this interaction ended, but let's just say that Bugs ended up with much more than an "exploded cigar" all over his furry face. Right afterwards, the episode cut to the usual credits animation.

I just don't know – did anyone else get weirded out by that? I swear... I just don't know what's going on with these screwball Japanese animators anymore.

Ehh. Granted, I didn't even finished the first episode, but it wasn't clicking with me at all, a lot of anime don't do it for me (but some do, of course). Maybe I was too impatient? Also, I don't think I've watched enough moe anime to understand the subversion.

But it's nice to know what it was going for.
