Is this a good idea?

This is sitcom setup 101, and sitcoms are an entirely accurate representation of real life as we all know with no dramatic liberties taken. What's the worse that could happen, they find out and make it a special episode about love and acceptance or something? Or you and your friend finally use this as an excuse to confess your true feelings to one another, the tension having built over to it's boiling point as he looks at you in the dress, the dress that you bought together. As you look into one anothers eyes, you'll both be speaking without saying words, the gap between you getting smaller and smaller as you both get closer, each step has your arms prickling in gooseflesh and your chest fluttering. It started off as a joke, you giggle to yourself as your hands take his. But now this is what we are, he finishes as he gently hugs your waist, the faint smell of his dad's BBQd hamburgers still on his breath. Suddenly the nerves are gone, and you feel more calm than you ever have before. And more alive, as he takes a gentle but firm grip on your arms and spins you around. You feel it now, the burning deep in your heart, the growing embers roaring to life. Your eyelids flutter as his hands wander, the dress bunching up as they move. His voice breaks the mutual silence between you, his words dancing down the nape of your neck. "I guess you can say that we revealed your trap card." You laugh, half angry, but you can't stay mad at him anymore when his breath feels so great on your skin. You turn, and with your heart thundering in your chest you finally cross the first boundary with the man who was your friend you got into a wacky sitcom situation with, but is now so much more. Your lips take his, the heat between you sparking as he brings you closer, clutching you in his arms. Soon the dress is long forgotten, lying on his chair in the corner of the room. The night becomes one of more boundaries crossed, of give and take, of sparks and the amazing simmering afterwards. Who knew that it would end this way? As you lie awake, watching his chest moving with each shallow sleeping breath, your arms draped across his, you know things will never be the same. What do you tell his parents? Your other friends? Does this mean you're just going to be a full time trap now? What are even the logistics of that? All you know is that, in this moment, you're the happiest you've ever been. In the dim grey light of the bedroom you roll over, working your way further into his grasp, and drift off into the best sleep you've ever had...

Yeah, just like a sitcom.
