last watched movie

Avatar 3, its way better than the second one thats for sure. It even has a psycho na'vi that i told my friend "I can fix her" pretty cool sfx and music was alright.
Maybe I should watch that in the theaters since I missed the second one. Still have to watch that one too.

Avatar 1 was a amazing experience for me watching on the theaters and it acutally holds up to this day for me.

Decided to give 1977 Star Wars a shot.

Every time I watch an old, "must see" movie I just feel like I'm actually Makima. It was fine, perfectly serviceable. Everyone looked like someone you would see on the street, which is cool. But it feels like I'd benefit more from instead looking at things people aren't as fond of.

I actually decide to watch the og Star Wars series myself (4-6 then 1-3) essentially for the first time a couple of years ago. I find 4-5-6 are actually charming movies, they feel like light adventure movies but just set in space. Harrison Ford for me really carried the movies as well, any time he was on screen it was a great time. I liked them! And this is coming from someone who never watched them "for real".
Episode 1-2-3 however were tough to sit through. I will totally apply the "Yeah, it wasn't very interesting" comment here, you won't convince me these are overall good movies...

Last night I watched Mothra vs Godzilla

Honestly a very entertaining movie. It's very silly fun but also has a good message, even if it is what you'd normally expect from a Godzilla movie. Highly recommended.

My last rewatch was a long ago but my major criticism of 1 and 2 is that a long part of these movies was just nothingness.

Simpsons nailed it pretty well what that feeling was:

When there was actually fun stuff happening then it was fun for me. Jar Jar Binks and some poorly aged CGI aliens did took away my suspension of disbelief, although if I rewatch it today I'll probably embrace the goofyness of it.

Watched House. I only have one thing to say: what the FUCK did I even watch? It was competently done, and I see the vision they were going for, but what the fuck even was that?

I can see why this is one of the most iconic weird movies. It felt like it was based off a childrens' book.

For a certain definition of movie (short film, about half an hour), I watched Magic Flute, The because of an out of context clip. Tragically, that was the only good part, and most of the rest of it does not hesitate to beat you over the head with how its message is "women are inherently evil and will only be good through the actions of a man controlling her."

For the final entry here...I watched Blue (2002). I wanted to get a gif of Kayako spinning in a swivel chair for 50 seconds, but the only options for watching it are a youtube upload (it goes to 1080p, so it's not an issue watching, but collecting gifs is hard), or a bunch of dead torrent links.

It's really slow. Slower than Night on the Galactic Railroad, a very slow movie in and of itself. Probably the most difficult watch I've had this side of Joker, and for an entirely different reason. But it was good. Had a lot of surprising things to include in a gay movie.

Googled it real quick... all the screenshots make it look like a slow movie for sure haha. And these type of movies always seem to be around the 2 hour runtime.

It's slower than you think. There's a lot of slow life shots, to the point I even found myself thinking that it should hurry up. As much as I did love Kayako swiveling for 50 seconds while she waiting for her friend to finish using the phone booth as the world passed her by, maybe the excessively long shot of Kayako and Endo walking down the path towards the beach wasn't as necessary.
