Okay, who else has seen Weapons? Can we talk about this for a sec?

Actual spoilers so don't click unless you've watched it:
yeah let's talk about the old hag. So she was just a dirty, manipulative, selfish & evil witch huh. And when things started going sideways for her she just wanted to run away & leave town. Wow, what an absolute coward... but I like that lol. She was just truly evil.

Also trying to figure how near the end when the boy rang the bell, why it sent out the command for the kids to kill the witch. Like, I understand that she became the target of the command (the wig) but not sure why the kids became the weapon. What a strange movie this one.
My assumption is that because the children were still under her thrall, the spell took the path of least resistance. Instead of thralling someone new, it just grabbed the kids who were already subject to her magic and set them to 'kill'.

The theory that makes the most sense, probably! I know we weren't supposed to think too hard about it but still! The only thing that made question this theory was the fact that the kid pulled an entirely new branch off the tree, so I thought that just made it a clean slate. We really shouldn't think too hard about this lol.

Oh yeah, I also watched the Toxic Avenger & Spinal Tap II back-to-back. That was an extremely entertaining night to say the least! ST II is another movie that didn't need a sequel but was surprised by how good it was. It's just stupid lol.

Also watched this more than a month ago but didn't see anyone mention Together yet, which was an equally twisted horror movie...

Just finished watching Die! Die! My Darling!

It's alright. It's well acted and has a lot of suspense and stuff. Though I think you can only really watch it once and not again, mostly because of how it can feel a bit painful to sit through due to what's happening. (Basically, it's a movie about a woman who is imprisoned by her late fiancé's religious fanatic mother)

100 Meters the anime.
A great short sports anime. I recommend it! The animations and characters the show offered a nice warm and comfy setting

Oh, the last movie I subjected myself to was the original Exorcist.
Probably around my twentieth viewing or so. Honestly, it's absolutely hilarious.
I mean, who knew that demon possession could be so entertaining?

It also could have been the original The Omen. Another cinematic masterpiece of comedy gold, or whatever you want to call it.
Honestly, I can't quite recall which one it was as it has been a while, you know. It's not like I keep track of every film I’ve watched.
I've just been drowning in a sea of YouTube videos since then. But hey, details, right? Who needs 'em.

I watched Corpse Bride today! I loved it. I haven't watched it in over 10 years. The last time I watched it I think was on the trip home from NJ back to VA in the backseat of my mother's car on the portable DVD player with my sister.

I also watched The Nightmare Before Christmas last weekend. It was magical, and much more amazing than the first time I watched it. Much less scary xDDD Locke, Shock, and Barrel traumatized me as a little kid.

I think these two movies, specifically The Nightmare Before Christmas are some of my favourite movies now.

Has anybody watched Good Boy? Can we talk about Good Boy please?
I'm glad the doggo survives but can we talk about the "story"? Unfortunately they never really elaborate on anything so I couldn't even spoil it even if I wanted to!

Go ahead, I have never even heard of the movie. And unless you pique my interest with it, I probably won't
