New Yu-Gi-Oh Format Using Pre-Pendulum and Link Ruleset

The Genesys format allows all cards, even normally forbidden list cards, that aren't Link or Pendulum monsters. Some strong cards are given a point value with decks having a standard cap of 100 points. As someone who hated what Pendulum and Links did to game balance and pacing, this might get me back into Yu-Gi-Oh.

As someone who hated what Pendulum and Links did to game balance and pacing, this might get me back into Yu-Gi-Oh.

As someone who agrees with that, I do still worry about the state of the game. There's a billion different cards at this point, so people are likely to find the most unfun things imaginable. You'd also need to kill hand traps if the rest of the game is made to be actually playable, since keeping a dirty, half-assed band aid over a bullet wound just causes harm when you've already dug out the bullet and disinfected it the hole it caused.
