Post obscure animation films, bonus points if it has stuff that isn't really suitable for children.

The Triplets of Belleville is a french film with a granny protagonist and her old dog. The entire movie has like 2 lines of dialogue but PLEASE watch with subtitles because the dialogues count.

It's very unique, one of my favorite movies ever and I rewatch it from time to time.

Not much to warn about it expect a the stereotyped african woman explicitly naked at the beginning, guns and a occasional dark moment, and possibly tears from you.

You absolutely owe it to yourself to watch this if you really want obscure hidden gems. It’s really fucking old which just really adds to the novelty. It’s also surreal cuz it’s weird seeing such a deliberately different take on the LOTR mythos.

Won’t change your life or anything but it is a nice break from its mainstream counterpart. This is shockingly underground stuff.IMG_9514.jpegIMG_9515.webpIMG_9516.jpeg

Also worth giving a go if you’re someone trying to get back into western high fantasy stuff but can’t find something that attracts that particular itch in movie form.

Unicorn Wars is animated like a kids show but is absolutely not for children. It's visually reminiscent of Happy Tree Friends but unlike that IP, it's a dark, allegorical tale that deals with toxic family dynamics, wartime propaganda and genocide. Worth a watch but be warned, it's violent and depressing.

Takena's claymation vids.

Lee Hardcastle does claymation horror, too! He even made an unofficial sequel to this video. I was introduced to his work through the following video, Spook Train: Curtains. When I saw it, it was uncensored but unfortunately, YT's demonitization practices have hit his channel hard.

EDIT: I'm replacing the censored version of Spook Train: Curtains with the full, uncensored cut. For some reason, I can't embed the Vimeo link.
