Before Binding of Isaac blew up, McMillen developed quite a few games he posted to Newgrounds. They have a more melancholy tone to them and from what he's said, they're based around the existential anxiety he felt as a child. My favorite one is still playable: Aether.

Love the music track used for this game, though it loops throughout so it can get grating.

My favorite after Aether is Tri-Achnid, a game that McMillen must have had a soft spot for because he added a cameo of the player character to BoI.

I’ve seen a lot of people yapping their hate for this game, probably because it’s subpar to GITS SAC PS2 third person shooter. It suffered the same flaws of all fps on the PSP but it’s not a bad game in general.View attachment 68

Funnily enough, I think this is a better game than PS2 GiTS SAC. The layouts are more straightforward.

I PLAYED TORIBASH TOO! Was even part of the Toribash forums in my 10 years old. I made amazing contributions, such as the giant penis mod, getting a 7 days suspension (unrelated to that), then seemly having my account deleted after presumably due to my attempt at trolling the IRC channel.

FUCK I WAS USING THESE FORUMS TOO. We could as well have talked with each other lmao.
I remember i even got into two prestigious Brazilian Toribash clans, i think they were called "Infinity" and "Neon" or something like that. I was a massive spar addicted lmao
