New thread, new revision. Feel free to discuss anything fighting game related here.

Blitzcrank was recently shown for 2XKO. I think this is the most interesting looking character in the roster at the moment. Hopefully more of the oddball characters of League of Legends will make the roster more appealing.

In other news, the Tokon closed beta is currently ongoing. I don't have a PS5, and so I haven't had a chance to play myself, but the more I look at the game, the less interested I am. I haven't been overly impressed by any combos/interactions at the moment, though of course it's too soon to say that it will be like this for the full release. I also find the stage transitions to still be too frequent.

I'm the same, it seems way to 'party' fighter for me to get into personally which is just fine of course, can't please everyone. Makes me want MvC4 something fierce, though.

Absolutely. It's a weird feeling when it comes to the recent releases/announcements; I love team games, but none of the new ones interest me to the degree that a Vs game would.

Invincible Vs looks graphically unappealing and I'm not a fan of the IP personally. Nen Impact was overpriced and effectively DoA. 2XKO should've been announced years later than it did, and Tokon looks underwhelming, especially since it uses the Marvel IP. That's just my personal two cents.

Tokon really does just make me wish we were getting MvC4 instead. Nen Impact seems kinda mid overall, and while I'm willing to give Invincible VS a shot, I've got no real attachment to Invincible or it's characters. Seems I'll likely be sitting out on most of the new/upcoming Tag Fighters.

bodily damage will fit in well with the greater virtua style mechanics, i think
a revamp to the combo system is welcome too

I'd say I like what I'm seeing for the most part, just a shame how little footage they've shown to us. I would've preferred announcing the game closer to release.

Played VF5 a little bit recently, and it's very fun messing around with Wolf. Unfortunately I play the 3D fighters on a much more casual level compared to the 2D games.

I've also been thinking about picking up a MAS stick at some point soon. I'd be curious to see how the IL/Happ sticks play compared to traditional ball/bat tops.

There’s nothing to get attached to. The comic book is incredibly bizarre and very clearly not meant to be mainstream but it had the misfortune of getting as much exposure as it did. It starts out as a pretty generic superhero deconstruction without any real merit or cohesion to it but suddenly drops it entirely around issue 67 where it becomes a war story about legacy and whatnot and from there on out the superhero tropes are played almost completely straight.

It tries to hog the fame of breaking bad and walking dead by wasting actors from there on characters that don’t really fit them because Amazon is still a mega billionaire corporation disinterested in paying their animators.

i am the amusingly the opposite - growing up i mostly played 2d fighting games, but for the last decade i mostly have played 3d fighting games
however a friend recently bought me street fighter vi and the first two season passes for the game, and i have used that game as the return to 2d fighters as they exist today. it is interesting, even though street fighter vi in general is very gentle and user friendly, the faster reaction times 2d fighters demand is taking a little time for me to get used to once again

I heard some pretty similar and strong complaints about the comic, but I can safely say that for the time being the animated series adaptation is doing a very good job.

I think the arc is at it’s at is one of the strongest. Shame it got cut off. Seasons 4&5 would be banger with a decent budget.
👍 btw the comic art is great so worth reading just for that.

is anyone else excited for the soule of street fighter iv to return to the spotlight on october 15th
a forth strike if you willzors

Quite a bizarre game that I don't think many people have heard of and that I believe should get some more attention. It was developed in Taiwan but later re-released by Super Fighter Team after they got the rights; it's called "Sango Fighter."

A lot like Street Fighter, but it's set in the Three Kingdoms as part of China's historical culture.

I actually do know about Sango Fighter! As a kid in the late 90s/Early 2000s looking for fighting games online to download, I ran across it. I found the original Super Fighter the same way too.

i did the fighting game thingy and i realize i need to play more fighting games :3Fighting game extravaganza.png

oh. i probably should have posted mine in this thread.
it looks as if we do not share any characters. that is impressive to me there is so much variety in fighting games.
