Favorite old PC game?

I always liked the game ages ago, and I had completely forgotten about it until I saw a video about it on YouTube. Alien Carnage was a fun, if not slightly weird, action game for DOS. I remember playing this quite a bit back in the mid to late 90s.


So, what old game have you forgotten about that you recently rediscovered for PC?

I remember having the free trial of Fate preinstalled on a old Windows XP shitbox as a kid along with a bunch of other WildTangent games. It's basically a more casualized take on Diablo I. I was like 6 and had no fucking idea what any of this shit did, so I kind of just equiped what looked cool and bumbled through like an idiot. It was my favorite out of those preinstalled games and probably part of what got me into Action RPGs.

Doom/Doom 2/Final Doom. Not just my favorite classic PC game, but one of my favorite game(s) period. The fan communities custom maps, Wads and other content in particular elevating it greatly.

Theme Hospital and Chip's Challenge, those were the only PC games I had growing up.

 

[Octopus]

The OG Duke Nukem's up there for sure obviously, I think that was the first DOS game I ever played. I have really fond memories of Hunter Hunted, it's a platformer action game where you either play as a generic action man or a minotaur, shit was sick.


I also very fondly remember Descent, the ship-flying FPS that was brutally difficult. It blew like 6 or 7 year old Octopus's mind.
