Finished Games Competition 2026

Finished the Bloodborne PSX demake. Did all of it in a day, mostly to prove that I could still do that, to myself. It took far longer than it should've, but I did. I'll take that win. It was kinda janky and felt like it tried to emulate early PS1 titles instead of later ones for some reason, but it was fun. Even if it's no match for the PS4.

Until I beat Gascoigne, and entered original content territory. That was, um. It felt like Resident Evil (derogatory). Especially Tyrant. It's cool that the creator loves that series, but even its storytelling style of logs doesn't match even PSX FromSoft, and it took me out the more I realized the extent of this being Resident Evil.
 
Quick point of order: are we counting games that we started last year, or in previous years, but finished this year? :thinking:

Yousef counted two games of mine that I made a lot of meaningful progress in last year, so I'd assume just so long as we finish them this year? Finishing is finishing, at the end of the day.

Ok, cool. I just wanted to make sure because I took a break from a game just before Christmas last year. I got back to it today and turns out I was only like an hour from finishing it hehe :sailor-embarrassed:

Dragon Warrior Monsters done. I feel like I've gotten the ending, before, owing to the Goldslime encounter I remember being in the postgame...except, I'm pretty sure I didn't. It's entirely possible my brother beat it.

Either way, I beat the game. Things got so dire that I just ended up sticking Medal, my Goldslime, in a party by herself and brute forcing the final boss, since their Coatl has EvilSlash (Hatchet Man; is either a guaranteed crit (which is instant death on a metal slime) or a whiff. If anyone else was present, it was less consistent. So I ended up just rolling the dice and eventually beat Coatl before it beat me.

Can finally wipe that game off my backlog, after it being on there for 25 years. Wouldn't have done it without this, so. Thanks, Yousef.

Put Bully on mine! That's 3 baby! God I love this game. Its a crime they never did anything with it past the scholarship edition which just crashes constantly on PC. It's probably in my opinion the best Rockstar game on PS2 that doesn't have the words San Andreas in its title.

I 100%ed it twice. On ps2 and Xbox. And finished it again on my bday last year. Glad you had fun. :]

I also hundo'd it twice, same as Yousef. Also the same consoles. Very solid pick.
 
Bully is just so damn good. I wish the ending wasn't as rushed as it was but I honestly like it maybe more than all the GTA games on the PS2. Maybe even more than Red Dead Revolver. There's so much freedom in it and its just so much fun just doing random stuff just driving your bicycle around is so much fun since the map was built for that sort of transport. COCKSTAR REMAKE OR REMASTER THIS GAME AND FIX THE BUGS ON PC AND MAKE A SEQUEL WHERE JIMMY GOES TO COLLEGE OR THERE'S A NEW PROTAGONIST IN A NEW BOARDING SCHOOL OR SOMETHING COCKSTAR HEAR ME!!!!!!!!!

I recommend you give manhunt 2 a go, I think you’d enjoy it. :]
 
Since this counts on the other site, I did beat Team Sonic's story in Sonic Heroes the other day.

But the main reason I'm posting here is that I beat Metroid Prime 4 Beyond (specifically the Switch 2 version). Honestly, I really liked it a lot. It was a lot of fun and something I did like is that any deaths from bosses did genuinely feel like it was your fault and it was really easy to figure out what you did wrong for next time. Like I can see certain people complaining that it's too easy, but I enjoyed it.
