Soo i have been playing this modpack for Minecraft modern versions called “Raspberry Flavoured” by raspmary and her team which instead of aiming for what most modpacks i have played offered like a quest system, 100+ mods with barely any connection, or just additions that dont fit the game at all. RF offers a much simpler, but comfy Minecraft experience. Removing and tweaking things that most players think are untouchable and really giving a well crafted and cohesive Minecraft experience.
Removing? What?? Yes Rasberry Flavoured removes two core things that have been in minecraft ever since beta 1.9 : The Exp system and the End Dimension, which of course includes meta things like the mending enchantment and elytras.
It also removes Villagers and pillagers, leaving only the witch and the golems as the only mob related to them.

All of this removals of course could be controversial for most players, but RF resolves with interesting modding alternatives that normally i under used on packs for the already mentioned meta choices:
For example Paragliders are a cute replacement for elytras, and the enchantment system has been completely overhauled with much better imo “resource gathering smithing system” where for example, if you want a fire themed enchantment, you will have to craft a tablet with fire resources for that.
Along side that, both the tools and armor gives unique effects depending on the material made. Like gold gives fire res and fortune while leather gives feather falling. Alongside of course of new armor tiers and materials, made mostly from alloys or the traditional og Minecraft materials.
The result? And addicting sandbox experience with a lot more experimentation and expression from the player. Along side being accompanied by popular but well chosen mods for the modpack like the Create Mod or Farmer Delight.
Also… Create! Tech mods can be difficult to implement in a Vanilla plus experience. But create here has been tweaked to fit within the progression of the pack, and i had soo much fun progressing through it to get to made my usual farms while not feeling like an easy handout.

In all honesty i will recommend this pack to almost everyone who likes Minecraft. Both veterans and newcomers can enjoy it. But even though i personally praise the removal of the End and Villagers, i can understand it could be a hard trade off for some, you have been warned about that :3 is fun leaving the comfort zone though!
Anyways, that was my first mod(pack) review :3
I want to do more of this in the future (for different games of course not just Minecraft lmao) soo let me know what you think ;3

Sounds nice, I'll keep it in mind when playing Minecraft again! Sometimes removing things do add to the experience.

Speaking of removing things, sometimes I miss the days when Minecraft had no enchantments, hunger, farming and stackable food.

Yeah sometimes i do have the nostalgia for that era too (pre beta 1.8) you can check “Reminiscence” modpack if you want something like that in modern Minecraft or the mod “BetterThanAdventure” for Beta 1.7 that is kinda like an alternative universe Minecraft in all the sense of the word :3
