Thanks for all the info, a surprising amount of depth for disc-burning here...

If I had you by my side a couple of years ago when I found these guys at my own thrift store, maybe you could of helped. I thought I struck gold because I was like "Damn, I can burn GAMECUBE games now!?" but turns out they don't seem to work.
Now they just sit on my shelf as a reminder lol. Look how cute they are!

DVD-RWs are not ideal for GameCube/Wii games because the laser needs slightly more power to read the discs, and even then it's more ideal to use in Sony DVD camcorders, like the DCR-DVD91E that I've had for years and years and still works.

Sometimes you might get lucky to find a set of 8cm DVD-Rs at a thrift store, just have to wait and see if you can find a cake stack for cheap, as they come with a price on eBay.

I went ahead and ordered more games for my Yakuza collection:
Kurohyou 1 & 2 for PSP, as well as Kenzan & the OG PS3 release of Ishin

Just gotta wait like a month or two for them to be delivered. I'll need to double check, but I think I will then have a physical copy of every Yakuza game after these arrive  Not every version of every game though, as I don't have the Wii U release of Yakuza 1 & 2 HD and I'm not buying Switch 2 game key cards, not even for Yakuza.

based super slim and folklore? holy hell what a deal!
I got it for a grand total of about 120 dollars. The PS3 was 100 bucks but I got 80 dollars off cause I had in store credit from this gigantor trade in that I did the other day. The most expensive part of the package was Folklore funnily enough.

Well that, and I had to pay an extra 10 dollars for a first party controller xP
I ain't using no little brother controller.

Do you know how I can get my PS3 to read an external SSD so I can watch mkvs or mp4s off of it? The current one I have is 1tb (formatted to FAT32). Is that too big?

im not too knowledgeable but couldnt you just download movies onto an external ssd and plug it via usb and go to the movies section on ps3 and hit triangle to display all videos?

I know it is possible to use or copy something from a USB on a PS3. I still have Season 7 of My Little Pony copied on mine from like 9-10 years ago, as well as a bunch of music. I seem to remember none of my external hard drives ever working though. Unless it needed a specific kind and I just never had the right ones?

You could always load up some stuff onto a USB to watch whatever you want, but it might be a pain to keep copying and then deleting whatever to make room for more stuff.

You might know this already, but once you're in the appropriate section you have to highlight the USB on the XMB menu, hit the Triangle button to bring up a menu and select "display all". It's counter-intuitive design, but just pressing X on the USB doesn't display any of what's on it.

based FF13-2 theme

Thanks, Neb! I think I got it for beating FF XIII-2? It's been too long now that I don't exactly remember :sailor-embarrassed:
I've only played Final Fantasy VI & VII for a short while. Maybe I'm just different to other people, but it doesn't seem like something I would play for the long term-the game is cool, though.
