Goes without saying that this is a heavy-handed topic. It can include anything. Phobias, philosophical questions, heat of the moment anxieties, anything.

I’ll start off with something a bit more philosophical, but it requires a bit of setup.

First of all, how do you feel about the people that matter to you? It sounds like a roundabout question, like something that already answers itself. Kind of like “well I drink water because I’m thirsty”. But… do you now?

Indeed you likely figured out by now that it’s not a problem that can be taken at face value. The question of “how do you feel about the people you care about” attempts to point out potential hypocrisy. It’s sort of in the “treat people how you want them to treat you” type of ballpark. Basically, do you care about someone because you care about them or do you care about because you want them to care about you?

The phrasing might make it seem weird but there’s no right or wrong answer here. It’s addressing the human condition. We have both selfless and selfish intents, we don’t strictly lean one way or another. Some do, those can be good or bad people, but that would depend on time and place.

Well, based on what I told you, I’ll now share with you my biggest fear. My biggest fear in life is that I may not be important to people who are important to me. (Essentially, do I matter to people I care about? Or am I just background noise to them?). That thought often leaves me freezing. I know that on surface it sounds like it’s not a big deal, but think about it. It’s very similar to fear of death, fear of hell or fear of loneliness in the sense that you think you’re not scared of it, but you give it a second or two of thought and you start to become filled with existential dread. But that’s enough philosophy. The idea I shared is incredibly scary and has been haunting me all year, but there’s no point in dwelling on it.

I wanna know what phobias you guys have. Are you agoraphobic like me? Maybe not.

Are you pyrophobic? Hydrophobic? Claustrophobic? Thanataphobic? Kingdomheartphobic? I’m certainly the last one. Lemme tell yea, it’s horror…

I hate cameras.... Or being seen in general.

This probably sound simple-minded but whether people care about me or not isn't something that I can control so I don't put that into perspective. If I care, I care, regardless of their view of me. Generally though, I am quite a bit of an ass to people that I don't care about, even more so to strangers.

Losing my memories. I think dementia is my biggest fear. Ill hate to lose all my memories and past experiences, turning me into monke or a baby again. Shit sucks

Yeah, truly scary. Like a part of you is gone.

I think this is pretty healthy. My narration of it made it seem constant but it thankfully isn’t and I do slowly snap back to reality, given enough time.

Total isolation, memory loss are there but my biggest fear currently is losing the ability to hear.
Music is one of the things that i love the most in the world, like there are a lot of cool things to see, to taste or to smell but if my live depends of it i will give up on those senses. But hearing is something that i can not give up, is the most important sense for me.
Other thing that i have kinda of an irrational fear is saws... My mind always thinks i am gonna cut my self when using one soo i prefer to avoid them at all cost.

Do you often find yourself having to use saws? I don’t think I’ve been in that situation but I did often get close to dangerous machinery back when I did odd jobs for AC maintenance and cleaning so I fully sympathize and understand.

~OOC~
Falling into a digital identity crisis and losing who I actually am to my online self, where I can't tell the difference between if I'm me or who my persona is anymore

That’s incredibly cool. Massive props.

That’s equally cool haha.

I think that’s fair haha. When me and my dad do work like this we agree I wouldn’t climb any ladders cuz I always freeze when I try to do it haha.

For whatever reason it’s not really fear of heights. It’s just fear of falling off ladders. Apparently it’s called climacophobia. Pretty neat.
