Since I don't have a computer compatible with Windows 9x. Recently I took my Windows XP laptop, changed to the classic theme and put a Windows 95 icon pack.

I even went more aggressive with my larping for a moment and experimented shrinking the resolution and opening a random non-fullscreen app in 256 color mode just to make the entire system look like that.

Would be perfect to use it like that while I'm stoned or something

I would sometimes switch Windows 7 to the classic UI for lower end computers as one of my optimizations. It's still very easy to read and modern and I would have liked it to remain an option in later versions. But Microsoft has to constantly "fix" what isn't fucking broken to justify a new version of Windows and more fucking spyware.

Can't you just use a virtual machine for this purpose? Windows 98 games won't demand much from your pc too lmao
Also 4:3 is always the superior aspect ratio to me, everything is so much fucking clean this way. For the best high experience, always use 4:3

@trickybus Everyone is free to send a suggestion and I'll add it to my list for when I do a request stream. Donors, channel artists, moderators, very close friends, and others who contribute something special get moved up the list, but nothing is required to simply get on the list and my channel is small enough for now that I'll get through recommendations faster than they're given. I generally play each recommendation at least 1 hour, and decide later if and when I'll play more.

If anyone wants the xenforo default theme or a “dark mode”, I just learned you can change this at the bottom of the webpage. I do like this colorful theme a lot also but cool to know
