How to get new people?

Yeah, like I get being defensive to some extent, but some people take it too far. I had a friend who would say stuff like "Your opinion on X doesn't matter because you're a man" and would label any man who disagreed with him as being an advocate for toxic masculinity regardless of the person or context.

It was dehumanizing, I'm glad I took my distance from that person

Yeah some people are toxic speakers, sometimes it’s person. Knew a guy who liked to do a “bit” where he constantly finds people’s “weaknesses” and exploit them to rile them up. Was a real piece of work. Made everyone uncomfortable but no one called him out. Apparently I was the only one not “in” on the joke so to speak (well no one was haha) so I’d call him out and he’d play victim harder than Nomura would retcon KH lore.

I’ve reconciled and broke up with him like 3 times. We’re no longer on speaking terms. Good riddance haha. If he seems ok from how I described him, well, he’d sometimes call me slurs cuz of my color and culture and says out of pocket bad things about my people hahahaha, giant PoS for sure. Most people liked him cuz he was only wholesome at the start, apparently this is a psychological tactic called “love-bombing” where your friend or lover feels justified being rude to you cuz they’ve been nice at the start haha. What a tool jaja.

Sorry this devolved into super off topic territory LOOOL, I see talk of toxic ppl and I remember that dude lol.

Don't worry, I see threads more as means to kickstart conversations of any kind rather than being for strict categorization

Sure, some threads are there just to categorize things, but when it comes to others like this one, bringing up personal experiences just becomes part of the natural direction the conversation took, even if it ends steering off from the original subject.

i don't think it matters, nor would anyone care. i've seen instances on youtube where people get paid to do animations where hands and arms and legs clip through clothing. i've never noticed anyone commenting on it.
